Huddersfield's Daniel Lloyd can’t wait for the mid-part of the season to end!

After a great start to 2013, bad luck has hampered the 21-year-old Porsche Carrera Cup GB Scholar’s progress.

And that frustration continued at the Snetterton 300 Circuit.

While bidding to claim important championship points for a competitive top four finish during round 11 of the season – where he ran within just 0.2 seconds of fastest lap pace – the Team Parker Racing driver was forced to retire from an action-packed 12th round with a broken driveshaft.

Although the end result of the second Snetterton encounter was incredibly disappointing, Lloyd was again able to show his podium potential with a quickest lap time a mere four hundredths of a second outside the best of the race.

During pre-event testing he recorded the quickest lap of the day, and was involved in the fight for pole position right into the closing stages.

In the end, he had to settle for fourth on the grid for round 11 in a closely-contested run with a time a mere 0.042 seconds shy of the front row.

And with overtaking at a premium around the 2.97-mile Norfolk track, he had to settle for fourth.

In round 12, he did even better to bag third place on the grid, and he was in contention for a podium finish until mechanical failure struck.

He will obviously be hoping for better luck during the next round of racing at Knockhill Circuit in Scotland, over the weekend August 24-25.
