HUDDERSFIELD racer Daniel Lloyd is stepping-up his efforts for additional commercial backing for the 2013 Porsche Carrera Cup GB season.
The 20-year-old, looking to build on a top six finish in the competition in the debut season, has suffered a blow after this week hearing he’s unfortunately missed out on securing a major new sponsor.
“We’ve only got four months to go until the new season starts,” said Lloyd.
“it’s unbelievable where the time flies to be honest – no sooner has one season ended than you’re already thinking about the next one and working towards that.
“We’ve been pushing really hard to attract new sponsors for 2013 for a long time already, but it is proving to be harder than ever.
“There are a lot of positives, we’ve had loads of really good meetings with potential sponsors.
“The last piece of the puzzle is the most important though, actually securing the funds to go racing for the full season.
“We’ve got a challenging few months ahead but I’m confident we can secure the budget.”
