HUDDERSFIELD racer Tom Sykes has been in Valencia this week as Kawasaki continue testing for the 2012 World Superbikes series.

While rain has led to track time being curtailed this week Sykes, and his teammate Joan Lascorz, have been working on the development of the new Ninja ZX-10R racebike.

After a session in Portimao last month Sykes, who won a world championship race for Kawasaki at the German WSBK round in September in the 2011 series, is happy with progress.

“I have a lot of confidence in Kawasaki and the team around me, so if we can improve a couple of points with the set-up of the bike on the track this would be a big step forward for us in the final results,” said the 26-year-old.
