JAMES WHITHAM is one of the great characters of British sport.

And the Huddersfield motorcycle ace turned top-class commentator is enjoying immediate success with his amusing and informative autobiography What a Good Do, which has a foreword by Carl Fogarty.

As a result, former World Superbike rider Whitham is giving his hometown fans a treat by having two book signings in this area during tomorrow.

The first is at Waterstones in the Kingsgate Centre, Huddersfield, from 12.30pm to 2.00pm.

Then, from 3.00pm, he will be signing copies at Cobb & Jagger Motorcycles (Ducati), 2 Saltaire Road, Shipley.

It’s a great chance to meet the popular star, who has been following the fortunes this season of Tom Sykes and Tom Tunstall in the Bennett’s British Superbikes.
