HONLEY High School have been enjoying plenty of success, both at home and abroad!

The Year 10 and 11 Netball teams have recently returned from Malta, where they competed successfully in a three-day tournament involving other teams from the UK as well as from the host island.

Indeed, they were so successful that the Year 10 won their division, to bring home the trophy and medals after beating Maltese sides Banjos, Tizers and NRG, along with British schools teams from the Cotswolds and Badminton.

And although the Year 11 couldn’t quite win their division, they nevertheless performed very well playing against some high-calibre opposition.

It was a tremendous experience for the girls, playing netball to a high standard, and they were commended for both their play and behaviour.

Meanwhile, closer to home, the Years 9 and 10 boys cross country runners won the Kirklees Schools Team Championship, held at All Saints High School, and sent out the individual champion in Tashan Samuel.
