REMAINING unbeaten for the opening five games of the Super League campaign, Wigan will be pleased with the start they have made towards defending their Super League title.

With the only defeat of the season coming in the 21-15 World Club Challenge against Australian champions St George Dragons three weeks ago, the Warriors look set for another successful season.

With wins over Hull FC, Salford and Bradford and a draw against St Helens under their belt, coach Michael Maguire will be hoping for more of the same in tonight’s game at the Galpharm Stadium.

Wigan managed to beat the Giants twice in their three meetings last season, including an early success at the Galpharm and at the Magic Weekend last May, although Huddersfield gained revenge at the DW Stadium in August.

Current Man of Steel Pat Richards, who flourished last season, topping the Warriors’ charts for tries, goals and points, is still recovering from a knee injury sustained in last seasons Grand Final at Old Trafford.

Maguire has brought in three new faces to the Warriors squad with the arrival of Melbourne Storm trio Jeff Lima, Ryan Hoffman and Brett Finch.
