MARSDEN Liberal Club’s A team sit comfortably on top of the Huddersfield Open Snooker League at the halfway point of the season, holding a six-point lead over nearest rivals Lindley Liberal Club B.
They would have been even further in front, had the team of Steve Berry, Rod Taylor, Chris Thorpe and Kyle Wood not gone down to their only defeat of the season so far, when losing 3-1 to Canalside last month.
However, the opposite end of the Premier Section is much closer with exactly half of the division covered by just four points, where Broad Oak BC D and Lower Hopton sit at the bottom.
