JASON McMAHON has knocked Robert Read off his perch with a magnificent century break in the SMileS Huddersfield Open Snooker League.

Last season no-one managed a century break, but this year there has already been a 107 from Read, an 89 last week and now McMahon’s mighty 110 in Lockwood Conservative B team’s match at Almondbury Con.

And that’s within just three weeks of the new season starting!

McMahon’s super effort came in the first frame of the night against Anthony Langton, who was gaining 52 start on handicap, but finished up going down 110-52.

McMahon’s teammate Lee Moseley also made 47 as Lockwood took the match 3-1.
