THERE are just two players above scratch, both from Meltham Conservative Club, remaining in the Huddersfield Open Snooker Championship – and they are set to meet in the second round.

Andrew Wilson (8) and Paul Barber (6) face each other on their own table before the end of the month, as they each bid to reach the quarter-finals of this year’s Open Championship.

Current holder Rob Read visits Golcar Con to tackle Wayne Baker, while two former winners, Trevor Liversidge and Rob Armitage, are also both away from home, the former visiting Syngenta to face Conrad Norcliffe, while Armitage (who is also the Huddersfield Billiards champion) takes on Paul Shaw at Meltham Lib.
