Two players were unable to play Barry Tinker due to work callout and Ronnie Wormald injured, first reserve Gant took Tinkers place and ended up winning his second sixteen.

In the final at the 31st end Gant took the lead 18 - 17, at this point there had been no more than 2 chalks between the finalist, Gant then scored another a single then a pair to claim a well deserved win in a very close final with some excellent bowling by both players.
