BOROUGH of Kirklees Synchro are celebrating golden success.

They won team gold at 12 and Under and 16 and Under with some terrific performances in a competition staged by Rykneld Synchronised Swimming Club at Chesterfield.

For many of the squad, it was the first time they had competed and, for the 12-years team it was the first time they swam their new routine – so club officials and parents were delighted.

There was gold also for Lauren Wyke and Megan Jackson in the Grade 3 Duet, while Tilly Budd and Keera Warwick won silver in the Grade 1 Duet.

Kitty Byrne and Lucy Metcalf were also second in the Skill 1 Duet, despite it being the first time they had performed together.

In the Skill 2 Duet section, Anggita Gunawan and Rachel Harris finished third, while in the Novice Duet, Alice Stratton and Mary Baxter just missed out on a medal when fourth in their first competition together.

BoK have been training hard throughout the year to ensure they produce their best when it comes to competitions, and the latest successes are a testament to the work of the swimmers, coaches and parents.
