GLADIATORS Boxing Academy have a big title bout on their upcoming show at Colne Valley Leisure Centre.

After two years out of the ring, Nick Hylton will fight for the 73kg Yorkshire belt on the Slaithwaite bill to be staged on Friday, December 7.

Gladiators coach Tom Mooney hadn’t been looking to get a title fight for Hylton but his opponent William Alesayi, from the Ingle Academy in Sheffield, has just won the county title and has agreed to honour the fight and defend his crown in the Colne Valley.

“It’s going to be a great night of boxing and as a club we are looking forward to the challenge,” said Mooney.

“We believe Nick is more than capable of taking the belt away from the Sheffield camp.

“We’re also putting on a Super Heavyweight showdown which will surely be a crowd pleaser, and after a fantastic debut win for Oli Smith, in Manchester, we have agreed to a rematch on home soil, in which his opponent will be looking to level things up.”

Tickets for the show are selling fast, and are limited to only 500.

They are available from Mooney on 07939 601172 or Dennis Doyle on 07960 251127.
