BRIGHOUSE RANGERS Under 13s have won the Halifax Junior Cup after an emphatic 50-14 win over Siddal in the final.

Rangers, who are pictured celebrating left, eased to victory despite the wet and windy weather conditions at Siddal’s Chevinedge ground.

Brighouse’s Tristan Fallowfield opened the score with some strong running to touch down under the post.

A second try by Troy Ambler in the corner took Rangers to an early lead in front of a healthy crowd at Siddal.

Ronan Sylvester broke through the Siddal defence and scored Rangers fourth try, but Siddal fought back and scored two tries making the scoreline interesting for the second half.

At the break a blasting from coach Andy Ambler seemed to do the trick and Rangers slipped into top gear and blew Siddal apart.

Further tries came from Cameron Bailey, Ambler, Fallowfield and a powerful brace from Adam Bradbury taking the game away from Siddal.

There was also a brace of tries from man of the match James Whiteley who produced a fine display both in attack and defence.
