LINDLEY SWIFTS scored another fantastic win, hammering Sharlston Rovers A 46-0 in Division III of the Pennine League.

Playing on their new field opposite the Wappy Springs, Lindley showed a great spirit which pleased the coaching staff of Jon Beckett, Adam Peel and Kev Bower.

Eight different players crossed the whitewash, but special mention must go to the Lindley defence, who were outstanding in holding Sharlston’s attacks and leaving them scoreless.

Tries were scored by Paddy Vinters, Sam McCluskey, Jack Dyson, Sam Hendry, John Sanderson, James Ellis, Kev Burns and Nick Burner, with Turner adding seven goals.

The coaches selected Olly Brodinski as man-of-the-match, closely pressed by Hendry and McCluskey.
