MANY Huddersfield Pennine League teams fell victim to the icy blast at the weekend.

But of those that did manage to take to the field, St Joseph’s second string would have been the happiest.

The Division V side secured their fourth victory of the season with a 28-10 triumph at Farnley Falcons.

At the same time, Newsome Panthers were beaten 30-12 at home to Division I leaders Bank Top Harriers, Third Division Underbank lost 32-18 at Queen’s A and Emley Moor A went down 42-24 at Rodley Rockets in Division VII.
