YMCA will give new signing Lal Chatta an instant run out in their away Yorkshire II clash with Knottingley (3.00).
The forward was signed this week from Huddersfield and Laund Hill director of coaching Damon Scholes was pleased to have him on board.
"We signed Lal from Lockwood Park earlier in the week as we knew we were going to be hard pushed on the playing front," said Scholes. "He will go straight in at prop.
"And we will move Sam Hodge from the pack to inside centre to try and deal with the narrow pitch at Knottingley."
Scholes is looking for YM to improve on their 24-24 draw at home to Pocklington last week, but felt they had a good basis to work from.
"We played some good rugby at times against Pocklington," said Scholes.
"So we have worked on that in training this week and ensuring that we did a lot of hard work on what you might call ‘old school’ football for the game."
