CASTLEFORD Tigers’ Justin Carney will appear before the RFL Disciplinary Committee today after being charged with making a Grade C dangerous throw in their Super League round 17 fixture against London Broncos.

Winger Carney does not have the option of submitting an early guilty plea for the charge, which relates to a tackle on Shane Rodney in the match at the Stoop which was drawn 30-30.

Carney was charged after the incident was viewed by the RFL Match Review Panel, which also issued a formal caution to Wakefield Trinity Wildcats’ Taulima Tautai for making dangerous contact with Wigan Warriors’ Sam Tomkins in their Super League clash at Belle Vue which Wigan won 36-23.
