GIANTS centre Leroy Cudjoe grabbed two tries and helped set up a third as England secured a 30-10 Origin triumph over the Exiles at Warrington last night.

The 25-year-old was one of the stars of the show, with his silky attacking skills and bone-crunching tackles proving one of the highlights.

Cudjoe scored his first in the 28th minute when he broke clear and dummied past former teammate Brett Hodgson to cross in style and then intercepted a pass with two minutes remaining to stroll over to round off a memorable evening’s work.

The former Newsome Panthers junior also produced a first-half blockbusting tackle on his old Giants mentor, Hodgson, to force the error which led to a try for James Roby.

Those contributions in the opening period helped England open up a 24-0 interval advantage, with Zak Hardaker and Sam Tomkins having also crossed for tries, converted by Kevin Sinfield.

And although the Exiles fought back after the break with scores from Mickey Paea and Joel Monaghan and one Pat Richards goals, it was Cudjoe who had the final say.

His score also marked a good night all round for the Giants, with clubmates Eorl Crabtree and Brett Ferres having both made valuable contributions off the bench.
