GIANTS kept their push for the top four in the Valvoline Cup on track with a hard-earned 20-16 win over Harlequins.
A solitary score in the second half proved decisive after the teams had been tied at 16-16 at half-time.
Centre Perry Whiteley grabbed two tries for the GIants and there were other touchdowns from his three-quarter partner Greg Worthington and prop Dave Orwell with Worthington adding two goals.
GIants next outing is at home to Wakefield Trinity Wildcats on Saturday at Huddersfield YMCA (2.00).
In Phase Two of the Valvoline Academy competition the Giants came up with an away win in Group C beating Crusaders 21-14 with tries from Joe Hayward, Darren Lamb, Dom Newton and Scott Farnsworth, plus two goals and a drop goal from Brad Radcliffe.
