Lindley Swifts will take on Emley Moor in the final of the JJ Conlan Memorial Trophy.

The Pennine League First Division side made certain of their spot in Friday’s big clash at Huddersfield YMCA (7pm) with a 21-6 triumph at Second Division title-chasers Underbank Rangers.

Swifts won the contest with a six-point start under the competition’s handicap system, and they’ll again concede the points advantage against Division IV team Emley Moor, who start on 18.

That makes this Friday’s encounter very tough to call.

Meanwhile, Meltham All Blacks returned to Division VI West winning ways with a comfortable 50-18 victory at Boothtown Terriers.

The visitors opened the scoring with a early try from Andy Farrell and this was followed up by further tries from josh Worrall, Harvey Hindle and Steve Farrell to give them a 20-4 interval advantage.

The second half was pretty much one-way traffic, with Dave Farrell scoring a hat trick of tries all from inside his own half, and Cameron Field, Matty Carter and Adam Lodge also crossed for scores, with Andy Farrell kicking five goals.
