Lindley Swifts are aiming for Pennine Presidents Cup first-round glory this afternoon.

The Huddersfield club travel to Pennine League First Division rivals Sharlston Rovers in what promises to be a testing assignment in the League’s premier knockout competition.

At the same time, the town’s other teams are in Pennine League action.

In Division I, St Joseph’s host Siddal, while Underbank Rangers are at Victoria Rangers.

And both Division III West sides are on their travels, with Emley Moor at Queensbury A and Newsome Panthers away to Worth Village.
