NEWSOME Panthers Under 15s remain unbeaten at the top of the West Riding League Premier Division table after a 54-0 victory over Brighouse.

Man-of-the-match Connor O'Gorman crossed for a hat trick and top grafter Jayden Wood and Joe Haywood added two each.

Chris Kendall, Sam Harding, John Waite and Liam Carter crossed for one each, while Haywood (4) and Harry McQuillan added the conversions.

Although man-of-the-match Dominic Lamb scored a hat trick, it was not enough to prevent the Under 8s losing 42-20 to Slaithwaite Saracens.

Jasper McGuire also scored a try and McGuire and Connor Preston added the conversions.

Conor Joseph picked up the coaches award, while Logan Silvester and Rhys Haywood impressed on debut.

The in-form Under 9s secured their fourth successive away win with a 48-18 success at Brighouse.

Tries came from Eddie Graham (2), Izaac Farrell (2), man-of-the-match Joshua Clay, Joshua Stephens, Robert Denton and top grafter Jacob Peel.

Graham, Farrell, Jordan Wallace and Freddie McGuire added goals.

The Under 10s suffered a narrow 22-20 home defeat to Queensbury.

Tries were scored by man-of-the-match Sam Gledhill (2), Harry Redfearn and Matteo Zaffino.

Toby Booth was top grafter.

There was a 54-18 defeat for the Under 11s against Meltham All Blacks.

Man-of-the-match Edward McGuire scored tries and topped the tackle count.

But the Under 12s proved on form with a 38-20 triumph over Hoyland Vikings.

Thomas Wharton grabbed a hat trick, Jordan Higo and Joe Gillespie scored twice and Luke Newton added the other.

Edward Wallace added three goals.

Man-of-the-match Robert Jackson was top tackler and Lewis Kaye was top grafter.

There was a big 48-6 win for the Under 13s against Sheffield Hillsborough.

But there was some disappointment as the Hawks became the first team this season to score points against them!

Panthers tries came from Ben Warrilow (3), top grafter Joel Farrell (2), man-of-the-match Lewis Graham, Jamahl Hunte, Levi Adams, Will Smith and Luke Mackley.

Graham and Smith scored two goals each.

The Under 14s warmed up for Sunday's Yorkshire Cup semi-final at home to Myton Warriors from Hull with a quality performance against Siddal.

Scott Farnsworth scored a hat trick, man-of-the-match Tom Eidson and Darren Lamb grabbed one each and Kieron Sill got the other.

James Usher converted.

The Under 16s produced some of their best rugby of the season to win 28-10 at Victoria Rangers.

Tries came from top tackler Joe Parkinson (2), Steve Booth, Jorden Brook, Steve Choma and Sam Dalby.

Alex Chatterton added two goals and Michael King was man-of-the-match.

Unfortunately, the Under 18s stay firmly rooted to the foot of the Premier Division table with a 30-14 home defeat to East Leeds.

They trailed 18-10 at half-time, with two tries from Ben Cuttell, and Luke Walker scored a late consolation effort.

Man-of-the-match was James Wallace.

Slaithwaite Saracens Under 10s secured a narrow 26-24 win over Ovenden.

Club man-of-the-match Jack Hague grabbed a hat trick, with referee's man-of-the-match Tommy Maclaren scoring twice.

There were also goals from Hague, top tackler Ryan Pickles and Niall O'Connor. Connor Liversey was top grafter.

But the Under 11s were beaten 22-6 by Queens Knights. Jack Thombs scored their only try, converted by man-of-the-match William Broadbent-Allen, and Mikey Wood was top tackler.
