NEWSOME Panthers Under 16s completed a stunning round of unbeaten matches for their teams by breezing into the semi-final of the West Riding Cup.

Visitors Guiseley Rangers pushed Panthers close in the first half and trailed only 10-6 at the break, but the home side's quality eventually told.

Tries from Joe Parkinson (2), Josh Cuttell (2), Ben Dawson, Steve Booth, Matty Garside, Josh Taylor and Alex Chatterton sealed the 46-16 win.

The in-form Under 15s produced a magnificient performance to crush Wyke 48-0.

Five-star performer Connor O'Gorman's two tries were matched by braces from Sam Harding, John Waite and Joe Haywood.

Jayden Wood, Jordan Andrade and Joe Martin also touched down, while goals were scored by Will Wallace and Daniel Mullarkey.

Despite never really hitting the heights they are capable of, the Under 14s did just enough to see off West Bowling.

Tryscorers were Darren Lamb, Kieron Sill, Harry Ainsworth, James Usher, Tom Broome and Tom Eidson.

The defensive display was still good enough to restrict Bowling to only four points to Panthers' 26.

The Under 13s disregarded their recent inactivity to sweep past local rivals Meltham.

Ben Warrilow continued his fine form with four classy scores as the Panthers dominated proceedings.

Levi Adams, Luke Mackley, Lewis Bellas and Joe Farrell all crossed the whitewash in a convincing 42-0 win.

A resilient Under 11s held off a spirited comeback from Wibsey to clinch a valuable win.

Good tries from Nathan Pimm (2), Callum Parkinson, Ashley Jones, Joe Clayton and Edward McGuire gave Panthers the edge, but Wibsey hit back in the second-half.

Panthers did just enough to hold on, though, clinching a 36-30 win.

The Under 9s ignored the poor ground conditions at Guiseley to produce one of their best displays of the season.

Star displays came from Izaac Farrell and Ashley Armitage, who both completed hat tricks in the rout.

The 50-14 win was clinched thanks to further scores from Josh Stephens and Rob Denton.

Dominic Lamb's four tries inspired the Under 8s to a comfortable 42-24 victory against newcomers Elland.

Tom Booth, Louis Lawrence, Jasper McGuire and Josh Smith all touched down and conversions came from Lamb, McGuire and Logan Sylvester.

Man-of-the-match was McGuire, while a mention must go to Elland who gave a decent account of themselves in their first ever game.
