SLAITHWAITE Saracens produced an excellent display to beat top Premier League club Hunslet Old Boys 20-12 and book their place in the third round of the Presidents Cup.

The tie proved an absorbing contest, with the lead changing hands five times, but in the end the hosts deserved the win.

Although Jack Oldham and Luke Karolczuc crossed for tries and William Broadbent-Allen added a conversion, the visitors led 12-10 at the interval.

But second-half scores from Simon Birkinshaw and Jaydon Corvell-Wood made all the difference in the world as the Saracens celebrated another great success.

A special mention should go to 16-year-old Broadbent-Allen (above) who has stepped in for the injured Gavin Dyson and has more than matched the efforts of the more experienced players around him.
