ST JOSEPH’S Sharks Under 10 side have had a busy time as they attended the Festival at Elland and then made the trip along the M62 to play two games at the Castleford Tigers v Huddersfield Giants Super League fixture.

At the festival Joes’ first game was against Meltham and tries from Ethan Myers and Fred Woodhouse earned an 8-4 win, a scoreline they matched as they beat Underbank Rangers in their second game – Woodhouse crossing twice.

Against Wyke the two teams battled out a 0-0 draw and Sharks drew again in their fourth game as an early try from Myers and a last minute effort from Woodhouse secured an 8-8 draw with Sheffield.

There were excellent displays at the Elland event from Danny Fisher, George Wightman, Harvey Jubb and Will Greenan for the Sharks.

Joes then played Moldgreen before and at half-time for the Tigers against Giants match at the Probiz Coliseum.

The first finished with honours even 24-24 and Joes put up a gallant fight in the second game, narrowly losing 4-0.
