MELTHAM All Blacks Under 8s maintained their recent run of form with an avalanche of points at Moldgreen.

Despite the home side taking an early lead, Meltham struck back with tries from Christian Pestell, Jordan Williams and George Sykes-Kenworthy.

After the break Pestell, Williams and Sykes-Kenworthy all completed hat tricks and a Jack Clifford try sealed the 52-12 win.

A depleted U13s slipped to a 20-4 defeat at Sheffield.

An early Andrew Lambert score gave the visitors, fielding only 12 players, a surprise lead, but the strong Sheffield side eventually began to wear them down.

Three late tries clinched Sheffield's win in a hard-fought contest.

A super second-half display inspired the Under 12s to an excellent away win against Littleborough.

With their coach's words ringing in their ears Meltham responded with scores from Michael Holmes (2) and George King to avenge the 4-0 interval scoreline.

King was named the man-of-the-match and Sam Rochford top tackler.

The Under 11s clinched victory with an amazing comeback against Slaithwaite. Tries from Elliot Morris (2), Jack Thackerey and Oliver Kirk enabled Meltham to overturn a 16 point defecit.

Conversions from David Dyson (2) and Thackerey sealed the 22-16 win.

A Luke Pogson hat trick was not enough to prevent the Under 10s from crashing to a 34-24 defeat at Newsome.

Calum Linton and Elliot Currid added to Pogson's scores but the home side's quality eventually told.

Pogson and Currid shared kicking duties and the excellent Jonathan Lamb was named man-of-the-match.

Under 9s threw away a 10-0 lead to lose a muddy encounter at Guiseley.

Daniel King and Jacob Glover tries put Meltham ahead, but a Guiseley score just before half-time ignited their fightback.

Errors cost the away side as Guiseley won 16-10.

LINDLEY Swifts Under 8s had an excellent work-out against Newsome.

Ronan Sylvester and Thomas Alexander scored tries and most imprved player Michael Byrne added a goal. Callum Hamilton was man-of-the-match and Luke Valerio was top tackler.
