HUDDERSFIELD’S two Academy sides suffered defeat last night.

The Senior side were beaten 36-18 at Odsal against a Bradford Bulls side who had several players with strong Super League experience in their line-up, while the Juniors agonisingly lost 24-20 at home to Wakefield.

Huddersfield’s scorers were Richard Lopag (2), Tom Guinan and Ed Barber, who also landed two goals.

In the game at the Bulls, the Giants’ tries were scored by Jermaine McGillvray, Tom Griffiths and Matthew Whittaker, while Thomas Hemingway landed three goals.
