BUOYANT Huddersfield Giants head to Keighley Cougars tonight (7.30) confident of producing a top Senior Academy performance in this rearranged fixture.

A waterlogged Cougar Park pitch forced the game to be postponed 11 days ago.

Since then the Giants have celebrated a superb Junior Academy triumph at Bradford Bulls (they won 34-16).

And with nine of that team doubling up to turn-out for the Seniors tonight, there will be no shortage of confidence in the visitors' ranks.

Huddersfield will obviously be conceding age advantage, with Keighley expected to field a side made up mainly of Under 21s, the Junior Academy players being Under 18s.

But such is the talent among the Giants at junior level that it would still be a big shock if the visitors were to lose.

Expected to lead the attack is goalkicking stand-off Thomas Hemingway, back on Academy duty after being in the Giants' 18-man squad against Leeds Rhinos in Friday's Super League clash at Headingley.

Hemingway and half-back partner Paul Mennell should provide excellent service for the threequarters, with talented brothers Luke and Marcus George - the sons of former Huddersfield winger Wilf - occupying the centre berths.

Giants: Hull; Sutherland, George (M), George (L), Cudjoe; Hemingway, Mennell; Housten, Garside, Holdsworth, Gledhill, George (S), Bower. Subs (from): Tillotson, Robinson, Walker, Lawson, Clark.
