HUDDERSFIELD Giants' table-topping Academy teams are in action this weekend.

The Junior Academy kick-off the proceedings with the trip to Hull KR tonight (7.30), while the Senior Academy travel to joint leaders Leigh tomorrow (2.30).

Both matches will prove tough encounters and have come at a bad time for the club.

Injuries to players at all levels means the sides will be nowhere near full strength.

And the Giants will also be lacking the services of goalkicking stand-off Thomas Hemingway, who is on duty with Yorkshire Junior Academy against Lancashire at Odsal (3.40).

Included in the Senior side are Super League squad men Ben Cooper and Jonathan Grayshon, who could find themselves added to the first team for Sunday's trip to Salford if they play well.

Winger Marcus George is also in action against the Centurions after missing last week with a leg injury.

There's one new face in the Junior side, with centre James Martin named on the bench.

But starting at centre will be Arran Crabtree, the brother of first-team player Eorl.
