ANDY RALEIGH will remain a Giant until 2010!

The in-form 26-year-old back-rower has today signed a three-year contract extension to reward an outstanding 2007 season.

The Huddersfield-born forward has been a mainstay of the Giants pack throughout their unbeaten eight-match run.

He was again in top form as Huddersfield beat Salford 36-10 to reach the quarter-finals of the Challenge Cup on Friday.

And the former Moldgreen junior, pictured in action during this latest win, will be expected to re-produce the goods once again when his side takes on Bradford Bulls in Friday's massive Super League showdown at the Galpharm.

That contest will provide the Giants with their biggest test since rising rapidly up to fifth in the top-flight table.

But Raleigh is confident his hometown club will be ready for the challenge - and that he can celebrate signing a new contract in style!

"I'm absolutely delighted to have signed a deal like this," said the former National League I Player of the Year, who joined the Giants from Hull KR at the start of last season.

"A two-year deal would have been great, but to get three is fantastic.

"It shows the club must have faith in me, and I'm determined to repay them for that.

"When I was offered it, I obviously had no hesitation whatsoever in accepting it.

"It was tough for us all at the start of the season but, like the rest of the boys, I'm loving every minute of it at the moment.

"We're going really well and you can see how much this winning run has done for our confidence.

"And now I've got my future sorted out I hope I can give even more to the side, starting against Bradford on Friday.

"It's another massive match for us, but none of us can wait for it."
