A TEAM led by Andy Baimbridge has won the Huddersfield Rugby League Players Association Golf Day for the second year on the trot.

Last year’s event proved a total wash-out, but there were no problems this time around as Baimbridge’s men ruled supreme at the 17th staging of the competition at Meltham Golf Club.

The winners claimed the Shaw Timber Frustrated Golfer Trophy, handed to the team of Baimbridge, Steve McNair, Dave Hallas and Steve Hnatkiwskyj.

Second was Paul Bloor’s Travellers Rest team and, just shaving it on countback in third place, was Billy Pickup’s team, who got the nod over a team led by Kim Scadden.

The Longest Drive at the fourth was won by Ash Flathers and Barry Workman won Nearest the Pin at the 12th.
