ROBBIE PAUL today revealed he has never felt so angry at the end of a game as he did against Hull KR.

The Giants ace admits the shock 17-10 Super League defeat to the Robins has hit him and his teammates hard.

Huddersfield must now wait until Sunday week to bounce back when they make the daunting trip to face in-form Leeds Rhinos at Headingley.

But the legendary 31-year-old Kiwi half-back (pictured) can't wait to get back on the field and prove the doubters wrong.

"I know how disappointed the fans were over the way things went on Sunday," said Paul.

"But I can assure you, no-one was more disappointed than us, the players.

"I never like losing, and I can honestly say that I have never been so angry at the end of a game than I was last Sunday.

"To have worked so hard in pre-season and in the build-up to the game and to then be a part of a defeat like that was a horrible experience.

"I certainly don't want to go through anything like it again, and neither do the rest of the squad.

"And we're all sure we won't.

"If it was up to me, we would be back on that pitch tomorrow, so I could prove to the coach, to the fans and to my family that what happened against Hull KR was a one-off."

He added: "We want to go back onto the field and show everyone what the Giants can really do.

"The key to that is to work harder than ever, and we've certainly been flogged in training this week.

"We might not have a game, but our bodies are still going to be feeling sore!"
