Antonio Kaufusi is back in the Huddersfield Giants’ 19-man squad.

The former Australia Test prop hasn’t been in Huddersfield Super League contention since returning from a loan spell at Bradford Bulls a month ago.

But with Giants chief Paul Anderson looking to shake up his side in the wake of Saturday’s demoralising 36-10 home defeat to Salford Red Devils, Kaufusi could be about to profit.

He is in a 19-man squad which is now lacking the services of Danny Brough (jaw and ankle), Scott Grix (groin) and David Faiumu (groin and shoulder), who were all injured against the Red Devils, with youngsters Jake Connor, Kruise Leeming and Jack Miller stepping up.

Giants: Jermaine McGillvary, Leroy Cudjoe, Joe Wardle, Luke Robinson, Eorl Crabtree, Craig Kopczak, Brett Ferres, Chris Bailey, Michael Lawrence, Larne Patrick, Ukuma Ta’ai, Kyle Wood, Jodie Broughton, Antonio Kaufusi, Anthony Mullally, Josh Johnson, Jake Connor, Kruise Leeming, Jack Miller.

Referee: Richard Silverwood.

Video Referee: Ben Thaler.
