WATCH out for an Australian `old boys' re-union at the McAlpine tomorrow!

French club Pia will include two Australians in their starting line-up in full-back Craig West and former Kangaroo forward Jim Serdaris.

It would have been three had player-coach Craig Field not ruled himself out earlier in the week with an infection.

But Field will obviously still be at the McAlpine tomorrow afternoon and is ready to see some familiar faces.

"I don't think the expression will be looking forward to seeing my old Aussie mates, not on the field at least!" admitted the former South Sydney, Manly and West Tigers star.

"I am looking forward to having a drink with them after the match and catching up with some former teammates, but I'm more concerned about what I might see of them on the field.

"As soon as we drew the Giants in the Challenge Cup I obviously started to see who was in their squad.

"I have to confess I know little about the English players, but the Australian names immediately jumped out at me.

"For a start, Brandon Costin and myself both started our professional careers around the same time at South Sydney, while I also had a spell playing alongside Jim Gannon. They're both top players and deserve complete respect.

"I have to admit it was a bit of a relief knowing Jim's out injured, so we won't have to worry about him!

"But then I remember they've also got Ben Roarty, Julian Bailey and Chris Nero. They're class acts."
