HUDDERSFIELD'S three new Wests Tigers recruits have a big double date this weekend.

John Skandalis, Shane Elford and Jamaal Lolesi will tomorrow watch Australia take on Great Britain in the Tri-Nations in Sydney and then meet up with their new coach, Jon Sharp, for the first time.

The ex-Tigers trio are keen to touch base with their new boss, who is doubling up as Lions assistant to Brian Noble.

And tough front-rower Skandalis, believes it's vitally important as they prepare to embark on a new life in Huddersfield.

"We're all keen to see Jon and find out exactly what he wants from us before we move to England," said Skandalis, pictured left.

"All three of us will be training with Wests before making the move, and we want to make sure we're doing the sort of work Jon wants us to do.

"In that respect, this is a very important meeting for us.

"We're obviously looking forward to taking in the game first of all.

"Australia are hot favourites to win, but if Great Britain believe in themselves they'll give it a real go."
