GIANTS chief Jon Sharp has been named the Coach of the Month for April.
After losing their opening seven Super League fixtures, Huddersfield have beaten Wakefield, Warrington, Wigan and Harlequins to move off the foot of the table.
They also beat York on April 1 to reach the fifth round of the Challenge Cup.
On top of Sharp's award, in-form Giants Ryan Hudson and Paul Reilly have been named in the Team of the Month, to be announced in May's Rugby League World magazine on behalf of Super League sponsors engage.
The awards are the perfect response to the criticism Sharp, pictured, and his side were receiving at the start of the season when the Giants found themselves five points adrift at the foot of the table.
And the Giants chief is delighted both he and two of his players have been recognised for their efforts.
"I'm really proud about this," said Sharp.
"I regard this award as a reward for a lot of hard work, effort and endeavour that has gone in to improve this team, and it's fantastic that it's paying off.
"Obviously, it's my name that goes with the award, but I am the first to appreciate it's an award for everyone at the club. It's because of the way we have all stuck together and continued to believe in what we are doing that we have now reached this position.
"And I'm absolutely delighted Paul and Ryan have also gained recognition, because they have been outstanding.
"There's no doubt April has been a fantastic month for us, but we've got to make sure May proves just as successful."
Meanwhile, Hull KR have taken the unusual step of naming a 19-man squad for Friday's home clash against the Giants.
Normally, 20 names are included, with the spot being left open in case they can complete the signing of Paul Cooke from Hull FC.
