CHRIS THORMAN believes he will return to the McAlpine Stadium a far better player than when he left.
Since leaving Huddersfield two seasons ago his game has gone from strength to strength.
This season he has made a positive impression in a struggling Parramatta side in the Australian NRL, and was one of the stars in the 22-16 defeat at Melbourne Storm last weekend.
Eels coach Brian Smith had wanted him to stay, but Thorman is determined to show Super League how much he has progressed.
"Playing in Australia is bound to make you a better player," he said. "I'm playing alongside some fantastic players and competing against the very best every week.
"I'm looking forward to testing myself back in England."
