Brett Ferres is back for the Huddersfield Giants.

And Eorl Crabtree and Luke Robinson will also return for Friday’s Super 8s home clash against Leeds Rhinos after being rested for last week’s win at Hull FC.

England back-row forward Ferres has been sidelined since he suffered a torn bicep in the win at Catalans Dragons on July 18.

But despite the Giants having won five out of the last six games in his absence, it looks certain Ferres will feature against the Rhinos as the Giants look to beat Leeds and guarantee a home semi-final play-off spot.

“Brett’s an England international, and a very powerful and influential player for us,” said head coach Paul Anderson.

“It’s clearly a boost to have him back, although no-one who’s played in his absence has let the side down at all.

“We’ll also have Eorl and Robbo back in the squad after they were given last week off to get over some injury niggles.

“That means Kyle Wood (broken foot) is the only player not available, and that’s a very good position to be in at this stage of the season.”
