THERE have already been so many great memories this year, and the latest came last Monday when I picked up a couple of awards.
I found picking up the Players’ Player of the Year award very humbling, because it’s a recognition of how much your teammates think of you. It really is a very special award.
And so, too, is the Supporters’ Player of the Year award.
When you sign for a club you never know how the fans are going to take to you, but I’d like to think this award shows I’ve made a positive impression, and that’s something that makes me very proud indeed.
But, at the same time, I’m the first to acknowledge that I can only do my work if the pack do their work first, and that was why I was delighted to see big Keith Mason, pictured, picking up the Coaches’ award.
Without the effort of him and his fellow props, I know there’s no way we could have had such a good season.
