I’M looking forward to seeing our good friend Paul Jackson back at the Galpharm tonight.

There’s no doubt Jacko is a great bloke and he deserves to go well wherever he plays.

Jacko isn’t the only former Giants player in the Castleford side, and I’m sure they’ll all be wanting to put in a big game on their returns.

Although they’ve got their fair share of injuries, Castleford have some very good attacking players in their side, who can do damage to any team if they are given the chance.

They are one of those sides that if you are not on the money defensively then they will really hurt you so we know we are in for another tough game.

REMEMBER this time last week saying how our next game couldn’t come around quick enough.

Well, for risk of sounding like a broken old record, it’s safe to say this week’s sentiments are exactly the same!

After the disappointing home defeat against St Helens, we were all desperate to bounce straight with a big performance – and victory – against Catalans Dragons on Good Friday.

Luckily, we did just that.

And right now the message is exactly the same.

After the way we played – or didn’t play! – at Salford on Monday, we can’t wait to get back on that field tonight and try and right all those wrongs against Castleford Tigers.

Hopefully, the pattern will continue, and we’ll now put in another solid display, just as we did against the Dragons.

We played well for the first 20 minutes against Catalans and managed to build ourselves what we have to say was a very solid display.

Danny Brough, right, came into the side at scrum-half and played very well in that game and I’m sure he is going to be a very big player for us.

It made for a great start to the Easter period but unfortunately we couldn’t make it count on the Monday. Salford have improved a lot as have teams like the Crusaders and a lot of other sides in the competition, it is definitely becoming more even throughout and that is good for the Super League as a whole.

I think we will be analysing the video from Salford as a team and taking a look at where we let ourselves down in that game. I think it’s clear we were a little down on our energy rather than any tactical problems and that can often cost you in games. We probably went into that game expecting ourselves to do better than we did, without putting in what is required to come away with a win at this level. We definitely need to learn from that and I’m sure we will do.
