PROUD Catalan Dragons coach Trent Robinson has hailed his side’s heroics after going through April unbeaten to underline their position as potential title challengers.
The French side won five and drew one of their six games last month to strengthen their play-off spot.
They started April with stunning wins at Wigan and Warrington before rounding off with their 13-12 triumph over the Giants to leave Robinson a happy man.
“It’s been a good month and it’s been a happy month,” he said.
“We started it well and now we’ve finished it well with this great win over Huddersfield, who are a very good side.
“Cyril Stacul was the best player out on the park against Huddersfield and, after him, some of our middle players were superb, especially in defence. We had some nice plays in attack, but in defence the boys stood up for us.”
Robinson was also delighted and proud that the Dragons were able to name 13 French players in their 17-man squad.
“That has to be the biggest stat for me,” he added. “They’ve got to be proud of what they did out there.
“We’re a French club first and foremost and to have 13 out of 17 and beat Huddersfield is something they should be proud of. I believe in them and the French people believe in them and they should be proud because they were outstanding.”
