HUDDERSFIELD Giants’ excellent Reserve side are about to embark on their bid for play-off glory.
Coach Paul Cook’s men open their challenge with a home clash against Leeds Rhinos at Huddersfield YMCA on Sunday (2.00).
It promises to be a fierce encounter with progression to the next play-off stage the aim.
But the Giants should fancy their chances, with Huddersfield having won 34-20 on home turf in April before the sides fought out a 40-40 draw in Stanningley in mid June.
On top of that, the Giants youngsters should go into the match beaming with confidence, having won six games on the trot before suffering a narrow defeat at Reserve Team Championship leaders St Helens the last time out.
And with many of the reserve team regulars having gained Super League experience in recent weeks, including Elliott Hodgson and Alex Brown, they will look to put on a big performance to show off their outstanding talents.
