GIANTS chairman Ken Davy is hoping to make tomorrow evening a night to remember!

His in-form Giants face unbeaten Hull FC at the Galpharm (8.00) in what is expected to be a top-quality Super League XIV encounter.

Both sides head into the contest on the back of impressive weekend wins.

While Huddersfield celebrated a first victory at Bradford in 40 years with the 16-12 triumph at Odsal on Friday night, Hull remain one of only two sides still unbeaten in Super League (Leeds are the other) after a home win over Catalans.

And with the Giants ready for another five-figure crowd, Davy can’t wait for the day to arrive.

“The atmosphere throughout the club is absolutely fantastic right now,” he said.

“Under Nathan Brown the team has a tremendous attitude and spirit, and that has been reflected in the performances.

“And we also couldn’t be more encouraged by the level of support we are now receiving.

“In our first home game against St Helens, we attracted an attendance of nearly 11,500, only 2,200 of which were away fans.

“Then at Bradford last Friday we had our largest following for a Super League game at Odsal.

“With all the promotional offers we have for this game we are very confident of attracting another big crowd for what is sure to be a great contest.

“We have never had back-to-back five-figure crowds in Super League before, but tomorrow night that will all change, and I’m obviously delighted.

“It should guarantee that tomorrow night is another highly memorable occasion.”

Head coach Brown will finalise his side later today and has been boosted by the news stand-off Kevin Brown has shaken off a couple of knocks picked up at Bradford and will play.

And centre Michael Lawrence may be ready for a return after missing last Friday due to a bout of concussion against St Helens.

But the Galpharm chief has confirmed he will be keeping changes to a minimum.
