BIG Eorl Crabtree has joined the Giants' growing casualty list ahead of Sunday's Super League trip to Salford (3.00).
The 21-year-old prop has been unable to train because of a severe bout of migraine attacks and is immediately ruled out.
It's the latest piece of disappointing news for coach Jon Sharp, who will be forced to travel to The Willows with a skeleton squad.
Sharp has also confirmed hooker Darren Turner is still at least another week away from returning after minor knee surgery.
This means Sharp will definitely be without the in-form Crabtree, Turner, Brandon Costin and Stanley Gene, while Paul Smith (badly broken nose) is rated at 50-50.
But Sharp makes it clear he will not be using this as an excuse if things don't go according to plan at Salford on Sunday.
"We've had injuries before and I've never used them as an excuse, and I don't intend to start now," he said.
"Being without top players is a big disappointment, but injuries are part and parcel of the game and the best thing you can do as a coach is just get on with it.
"All those who take to the field for us on Sunday are paid to win matches, and that's what I expect them to do."
