FIT-AGAIN Giants star Eorl Crabtree is looking to carry on from where he left off against the Russians last week when England face France in a key European Nations Cup clash in Avignon tomorrow (8.00).

Crabtree is joined in the tourists' squad by fellow Huddersfield men Paul Reilly and Stuart Jones - coach Karl Harrison has still to confirm his final line-up - with victory guaranteeing England a place in the final at Warrington on Sunday week.

The 22-year-old forward goes into the clash in a rich vein of form, having scored in the 98-4 thrashing of Russia in Moscow six days ago.

And having now fully recovered from the shin injury which forced him to miss the Giants' final seven Super League matches, Crabtree is determined to make an even bigger impact against the French.

"Last week's match was the ideal way to ease myself back into competitive action after three months on the sidelines," said the Huddersfield product.

"With all due respect to Russia, they weren't the greatest side in the world.

"But the match proved to me that I've now got over my injury, and grabbing the try was a further boost of confidence.

"Whatever the opposition, it's always a tremendous honour to play for your country and to score a try was the icing on the cake.

"Tomorrow we know it will be much harder, but we have the ability to go out and do a good job on the French.

"We're determined to be playing in the final at Warrington."
