HUDDERSFIELD Giants have made two Super League signings - and are desperate to keep them quiet!

McAlpine chief executive Ralph Rimmer has confirmed his club have secured the signature of two "established Super League players," but due to legal and moral responsibilities must keep their identities under wraps.

He has, however, revealed that Graham Holroyd will not be offered a new contract for next season, bringing the number of departures at the end of the season to four.

Holroyd will join Jamie Bloem, Steve McNamara and Jarrod O'Doherty through the McAlpine exit door.

Taking their places will be highly-rated Rochdale captain Paul Smith, the two unnamed signings and at least one other new face.

"The aim is for four players leaving and four players arriving," said Rimmer.

"With a decision taken on Graham we all know who the four departures will be.

"But I'm afraid we're simply not in a position to say who will be coming.

"Announcing the arrival next year of Paul Smith was straightforward, but it's a different matter when it comes to the other two players.

"They are still tied up with their current clubs and don't want any distractions at this stage of the season.

"They have important jobs to do at their Super League clubs and have specifically asked that there is no announcement until the end of the season. We want to go along with their wishes.

"But we're not alone in this. Graham Steadman at Castleford and Paul Cullen at Warrington have found themselves in exactly the same boat over signings."
