Eorl Crabtree has warned the Huddersfield Giants their season could end in failure if their performances don’t start to improve.

Huddersfield host struggling Salford Red Devils on Saturday bidding to make it 10 wins from their last 11 Super League starts.

But even though the wins have kept on coming, the Giants have struggled to find any level of consistent form.

And popular prop Crabtree fears that could hurt his side in the vital clashes ahead if they don’t do something about it – and quick!

“If we don’t get our act together soon we can forget about making a meaningful impression in the play-offs,” said Crabtree.

“I think we’re all sick and tired about saying the same old thing week after week about how we need to start improving.

“So far, we’ve got away with it, but we know this won’t carry on forever.

“If we don’t start turning our words into actions we know it’s only a matter of time before teams start to turn us over.

“To be honest, that could happen against Salford this weekend if we don’t start smartening up our act.

“Although they’ve struggled this season, they’ve still got one of the strongest-looking squads in the competition and their performances are starting to pick up.

“So we know if we continue to be generous in the way we gift our opponents possession, Salford will hurt us.

“And if that’s the case we’ve only got ourselves to blame.”
