THERE are still several places available for the question and answer session with legendary rugby league characters Billy Thompson and Alex Murphy ahead of Sunday's Giants v Leigh Super League clash at the Galpharm.

The event kick-offs at 1pm, with the price of £10 including meat and potato pie and pies. Matchday admission is extra.

"We've been delighted with the response to what we believe will be a fantastic event," said Giants commercial manager Stan Sharp.

Meanwhile, Giants stars Ben Roarty and Stanley Gene presented the trophies at Newsome Panthers' annual presentation night.

It has proved another successful season for the Panthers, with the highlight being their successful bid to retain the Holliday Cup.

Individually, all the top accolades went to Lee McCafferty, who was named the Player of the Year and Players' Player.

There was also a special mention on the night for physio Ian Naylor, who is having to retire after being with the Panthers since the club was formed.
