GIANTS chief Jon Sharp insists facing future coaching colleague Paul Anderson in the semi-finals of the Powergen Challenge Cup wouldn't be a problem.

Sharp's men will go into the bag with Anderson's St Helens, Leeds and surprise package Hull KR when the last-four draw is made at the RL Heritage centre at Huddersfield's George Hotel at 7.30 tomorrow morning.

It was announced last week that ex-Great Britain prop Anderson will join Sharp's backroom staff at the Galpharm next season.

The 34-year-old scored two tries as Saints beat Catalans 56-10 on Saturday to make the semis for the sixth year running.

"There wouldn't be an issue over facing Paul in the cup, just as there won't be when we meet them again in Super League this season," insisted Sharp.

"Paul is not only a St Helens player until the end of this season, he is also a true professional who wouldn't let anything cloud his focus on the job in hand.

"If we get Saints in the semis, he will be doing all he can to put us out, I've no doubt about that."

Leeds beat Harlequins 36-18 at Headingley while Hull KR shocked Warrington 40-36 in a Craven Park thriller.
