THE Giants are giving fans the chance to meet their favourite players as part of the build-up to the Super League club’s return to the Galpharm.

As a way to kick-off the summer holidays in style, the Giants are holding an open event at the Galpharm Football Trust Suite between 3pm and 4pm next Wednesday (July 27).

It will be the chance for supporters to meet all the Super League squad, have their pictures taken with the stars and get their autographs.

It will also be the first chance for fans to see the newly re-laid Galpharm pitch ahead of the first game back against Hull KR next Saturday (7.15).

All supporters have to do is enter the stadium via the main reception and head up to the Football Trust Suite on Level 2 where the players will be situated, with the Giants expecting the event to be a huge success.

Marketing and Media Manager James Brammer said;

“I’m sure supporters of all ages will be excited by the opportunity to meet the players ahead of the home coming fixture against Hull KR and it represents the perfect start to the summer holidays for our junior fans,” said Giants marketing chief James Brammer.

“Fans will be able to mingle with the players and also view the pitch, which is really starting to look like a surface to rival any other in the country.”

Supporters are also reminded that between July 26 and 30 there will be a whole host of summer activity at Greenhead Park as the Giants in the Community team help host the ‘Beach Week’, a week of interactive beach rugby!

Furthermore, the club announced last week an ‘Evening with Chairman Ken Davy and first-team squad members’ on Monday, July 25 at 7.30pm in the English Partnership Suite, with supporters able to put their questions to the panel. The event is free for all fans.

Supporters are also reminded that tickets for Sunday’s Challenge Cup tie at Castleford are cheaper if they are bought in advance.

They are on sale at the Galpharm ticket office priced at

£15 for adults, £10 concessions and £5 for Under 16s.

If they are bought on the day the prices are £18 and £12 for both concessions and Under 16s as there are no junior prices available on matchday.
